As part of its ambition to be a leader in creating food that supports balanced lifestyles without compromising on taste, Kraft Heinz continues to innovate across its portfolio. A recent example is Heinz Tomato Ketchup Zero Added Sugar and Salt, now available across Europe.
Heinz Tomato Ketchup Zero delivers the unmistakable taste consumers expect from Heinz Ketchup, with zero added sugar and salt and just 40 calories per 100g. Building on the success of existing reduced sugar and salt options, such as Heinz Tomato Ketchup 50% Less Salt & Sugar, the Zero recipe contains 35% more tomatoes than the brand鈥檚 classic ketchup, offering more of the ingredients consumers value.
The product was developed at Kraft Heinz鈥檚 Global Innovation Centre in the Netherlands, responding to growing demand from health鈥慶onscious consumers who are unwilling to compromise on taste. Consumer research shows that nine in ten people agree that Heinz Tomato Ketchup Zero delivers the great taste associated with Heinz, challenging the perception that 鈥渮ero鈥 products fall short on flavour.
Heinz Tomato Ketchup Zero is part of Kraft Heinz鈥檚 broader reformulation and innovation efforts aimed at expanding consumer choice. This includes ongoing actions to reduce total sugar, sodium, and saturated fat, while increasing positive nutrients and food groups such as vegetables, fibre, protein, vitamins, minerals, whole grains, and legumes – supporting healthier, balanced diets across Europe.
